Jet2.com and Jet2holidays Recognised by Which? Once Again

The consumer champion Which? has confirmed that Jet2.com will continue to be recognised with the prestigious Which? Recommended Provider status for Airlines, after a year dominated by the Covid-19 pandemic. This means Jet2.com and Jet2holidays both continue to receive prestigious Which? Recommended Provider status.

Each year Which? publish the Which? Holiday Companies Survey and Which? Airlines Survey, after asking thousands of paying customers about their experiences with different travel companies and airlines. The last Which? Airlines survey was carried out in January 2020 and because of the Covid-19 pandemic, Which? have instead carried out careful analysis and checks of each company in the survey.

After doing so, they have confirmed that Jet2.com is to continue to be recognised as Which? Recommended Provider for Airlines, saying: “Jet2.com has long been the best low-cost carrier, and we are still happy to recommend it for trips in 2021 and beyond.”

This success comes on the back of our continued investment into delivering a VIP experience. This service includes friendly flight times, as well as a generous 22kg baggage allowance and two free pieces of hand luggage up to 10kg through a flight-only booking with Jet2.com, or that very same VIP customer service, in-resort Customer Helpers, transfers, free child places and ATOL protection with the UK’s second largest tour operator, Jet2holidays.

We have continued this customer-first strategy throughout the Coronavirus pandemic, winning praise from customers, consumer organisations, media, and independent travel agents for how we have looked after customers affected by programme changes.

In addition to continuing to be a Which? Recommended Provider, separate research by Which? has revealed ‘that holidaymakers booking beach breaks in the Mediterranean for Summer 2021 will find better deals and pay less if they book a package holiday rather than booking flights and accommodation separately.’

Which? compared the price of holidays from package holiday providers – including Jet2holidays – for holidays in May 2021, with the cost of booking the exact same holidays ‘DIY’. The package holidays were cheaper in eight out of 10 cases. One saving with Jet2holidays was £234.

As well as saving money, Which? also cited the additional protection that booking through a package holiday provider such as Jet2holidays gives, including ATOL-protection and prompt refunds. The research also highlights booking with a tour operator that has done the right thing during the pandemic and paid refunds within the required timeframe, naming Jet2holidays as one of the ‘packages that are better than others’. Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “This has been a challenging year for customers and travel companies alike, and as we come to the end of 2020, we are very encouraged by the positive signs we are seeing for next year. Despite the challenges that have been thrown at us this year, one thing we have not wavered from is our commitment to putting customers first. Whether that’s making they sure they have a happy and healthy holiday when they travel with us, looking after them when their bookings after affected, or making sure they are kept up to date with the latest information, our customers have been our number one priority day in day out. Our teams have worked so hard to make that the case, so to continue calling ourselves a Which? Recommended Provider makes me very proud indeed.”

“We know that customers need assurance more than ever, and as Which? point out in their research, booking through a company like Jet2holidays doesn’t just save money, but it provides that valuable added protection too. They also state that some packages are better than others, which we are sure is something that customers will hold in mind when looking to book and travel on their well-deserved holidays.”

“Jet2.com has long been the best low-cost carrier, and we are still happy to recommend it for trips in 2021 and beyond.”
