It has been an incredibly exciting time for Jet2.com & Jet2holidays. In July and September 2016, the business announced Birmingham and London Stansted airports as its 8th and 9th UK operating bases. Outside of our core airline seats and holiday packages, the Charter and Airline Sales Team generate strong revenues through selling into third party markets. This is primarily in the form of charter flights or tour operator allocations on scheduled services.
Charter flights can be regular weekly ski or cruise flights or any ad hoc operation. Major ad hoc markets include sports, music and entertainment, government and Company incentives. We also work with third party tour operators on our scheduled flights.

The Flight Operations Team covers a wide range of activities that impact the entire operation.
The Training Team makes sure that new and recurrent courses for both Pilots and Cabin Crew are set up and undertaken in good time. Achieving this amongst a busy schedule of flights is no mean feat!
Navigation and Flight Planning provide a crucial part of the overall efficiency of our operation. We work towards ensuring that flights operate on time and that safety is maintained, with involvement in the production of flight plans, fuel calculations and slot co-ordination. It's always busy here!
Operational Efficiency undertake constant analysis of aircraft performance to ensure the best possible experience for our customers, operating our aircraft in the most efficient way and implementing procedures to improve performance and reduce cost.
The Operations Control Centre (OCC) provides operational management of the flight programme 24/7. The OCC includes shift based teams from Operations, Customer Operations and Travel Services, who are also supported by the Maintenance Control Centre (MCC) and Flight Planning Teams. This way, we can work as One Team to ensure that our Customers arrive at their destinations happy, safely and on time.
Within the Operations Team, we take a proactive approach to the management of the flight programme to maintain our On Time Performance and minimise disruption.
In Travel Services we are responsible for transport and accommodation for our Crew. We make sure that all our Crew are in the right place at the right time and with the appropriate rest periods in order to perform their duties.
The Resource and Crew Planning Teams play a vital role in our Operation at Jet2.com. The Resource Planning Team take a long term view to determine how many Pilots, Cabin Crew and Ground Operations colleagues we need and when we need them to ensure we can provide our Customers with a first class service.
Whether new to aviation or transferring from another airline, all Pilots and Cabin Crew will have their training planned by our Crew Training Team who make sure that all necessary crew training and documentation is up to date and conforms to all the regulatory requirements.
With over 1,500 Pilots and Cabin Crew colleagues we need to make sure they are fully prepared to operate every flight as safely and effectively as possible. The planning and management of the Crews rosters uses advanced computer systems coupled with the skill and experience of our great Crew Planning and Crewing Teams to ensure we strike a balance between working days and time off, helping to create memories for all our Customers on board our flights so they come back to us time and time again.
We carry out the development, administration and maintenance of the Jet2.com and Jet2holidays Safety Management System. In this way, we can ensure continuous improvement through compliance monitoring and safety assurance. Carrying out effective oversight of all operational areas, we also manage the Jet2.com and Jet2holidays Health and Safety and Aviation Security systems.
As you may imagine, a keen eye for detail is essential in this role, as well as being able to recognise any issues and notify of them quickly and efficiently. After all, safety is paramount at Jet2.com and Jet2holidays.
