As our new Security Manager for the Retail Operations Centre (The ROC), you’ll be accountable for the management and implementation of, and day to day adherence to, the site security programme for in-flight supplies as required by the UK CAA. Creating and leading a high performing site Security team, in line with Jet2 company values. Ensuring site security equipment, procedures, policies and processes are in place, adhered to and always remain fit for purpose and comply with CAA, DFT and HMRC security requirements.

What you’ll be doing:

The role itself can be split into 3 main parts. Mainly…

Oversight and Compliance:

• Oversight and control of Inflight Supplies Regulated Supplier security programme, procedures, and processes.
• Generation and implementation of applicable DfT/CAA Security Requirements.
• Proactive Risk Assessment relating to security issues.
• Internal assurance including oversight and auditing of security measures including training programmes for site colleagues.
• Liaising with the CAA, DfT and HMRC on security matters.

Incident Management and Prevention:

• Management of security occurrences and loss prevention incidents with thorough investigations.
• Issuing security recommendations where appropriate.
• Active involvement in the Company-wide "Insider Threat" campaign and security culture.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Acting as the main focal for IFS Security.
• Direct management of IFS site security agents.
• Management of all loss prevention measures.
• Managing, inspiring, and continually developing the site security team, setting individual KPIs to exceed goals and targets.

What you’ll have:

This is a critical role within the Retail Operations Centre and therefore we’re looking for someone with:

• Experience within aviation security industry ideally from with in-flight supplies (IFS) or cargo.
• Understanding of and practical working knowledge of the UK Department for Transport and Civil Aviation Authority.
• Experience of working in an Excise Warehouse would also be desirable.
• Confident in making operational decisions under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver aviation security guidance and decisions to all levels of staff.
• Proactive approach and prepared to drive change and continuous improvement.
• IMPORTANT: You must have the ability to gain UK Security Vetting Clearance to CTC Level (Level 1B).
