Role Overview:

As an Avionics Project Engineer at Jet2.com, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the airworthiness and reliability of our aircraft fleet. You will be responsible for overseeing avionics-related projects, from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong technical expertise in avionics systems, excellent project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.


What will you do in the role?

  • Liaise with Third Party Vendors, ensuring quotations and documentation are received within timely manner.
  • Ensure all controlling documents relating to PO/SO’s, Avionics Overview and EIS Modification programs are maintained and up to date.
  • Monitor TA’s and assist with Work Pack Reviews, Service Bulletin Report backs, ELA sheet upkeep and ELT registration.
  • Maintain fleet listing on Euro Control “Log-On” list.
  • Maintain Terrain Data base SharePoint to ensure always up to date.
  • Gather CVR and FDR downloads and distribute to readout supplier, ensure timely deliveries.
  • Assist with all new Avionic modification/EIS programs collating data where required.
  • Ensure post modification supplemental documentation is passed to Technical Publications and is published correctly.
  • Consulting with Purchasing to ensure all materials requested for modifications/work packs are in place ready for maintenance input.
  • Liaise and support interdepartmental work groups pertaining to current and future projects.

What are the key skills / experience you’ll already have?

  • Preferred candidate will ideally have an Aeronautical based Degree.
  • Basic knowledge of avionics would be an advantage.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Office 365 skills essential.
  • A keen eye for detail is essential along with excellent project management skills.
  • AMOS knowledge is not essential, but would be advantageous.
