To support our current and future Airbus fleet, Jet2.com is seeking Synthetic Flight Instructors and Examiners - Airbus to be based at the Jet2.com Simulator and Training Centre in Cheadle, Stockport.

What will you be doing?
  • Delivering simulator and classroom training to support the Jet2.com Airbus initial and recurrent training programme.
  • Complete additional associated training activities required by the Flight Training Department including classroom technical training and courseware development
  • Engaging in the development of our current training programme as our fleets grow and prepare for delivery of new A321 Neo aircraft in 2024 and beyond.
About You
  • You will hold or have held a CPL, MPL or ATPL in the appropriate aircraft category preferably with an Airbus A320 series type rating.
  • You will have at least 1500 hours on a multi pilot aircraft.
  • Airbus A320/321 instructional experience, preferably with a A320 series SFI or TRI rating.
  • Applicants who have other type training experience as a TRI/SFI or other flying related instructional roles on multi pilot aeroplanes may be considered.
  • Excellent instructional skill set with a desire to deliver simulator/classroom training to the highest standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in order to provide effective training in a simulator, classroom or virtual classroom.
  • Ability to create high quality training material using appropriate IT systems.
  • Excellent time management to ensure all training events are completed within exacting timescales.
  • Have the flexibility to work effectively in a fast moving and dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrate appropriate instructional competencies required to effectively monitor student progress, performance standards and recommendations where required.
  • Possess excellent administrative skills with the ability to record student training progress effectively and accurately.

This is a salaried position based at the Jet2.com Training Centre in Cheadle, Stockport, but may also include travel to other associated training venues. This position follows a fixed roster pattern which may include weekends and unsociable hours. This rostered pattern will equate to 40 hours per week over a 4-week rolling period.
The position can be a full-time role and we also have options for part time/percentage roles.
