We have a fantastic opportunity for a Vetting & Compliance Team Leader to join our Leeds Head Office Team! Our Referencing Team are responsible for the management of the Airside Pass process for our Pilot, Cabin Crew and Ground Operations colleagues at our Airport bases and play an essential part in supporting our operational colleagues with obtaining their Airside Pass whilst adhering to all legal, industry and company requirements.

What will you do in the role?

Reporting into the Referencing Operations Manager and leading a team of Referencing Screeners, key responsibilities will include -
  • Delivery of successful referencing processes for all candidates within your dedicated business area
  • Ensuring team SLA’s are achieved and complex cases or risks are identified, investigated, and escalated
  • Ensuring all vetting is completed and compliant with Department for Transport Airside Pass Scheme Guidance, Airport Base ID Centre regulations and’s policies
  • Team Leader responsibilities including supporting knowledge, performance, training, and efficiencies for your team of Screeners
  • Working closely with the Referencing Specialists at Base and the Operational teams within your business area; working as One Team to deliver results
  • Continuously looking to improve ways or working and identify solutions to support our overall service delivery

What are the key skills / experience you’ll already have?

You will have -
  • The ability to develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
  • Experience of delivering against SLA’s or targets through others
  • The ability to work to tight timeframes and manage multiple projects with conflicting timescales
  • Strong IT skills - proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and an aptitude for inhouse systems
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • A flexible approach and be able to work well within a dynamic and changeable business environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Department for Transport Airside Pass Scheme guidance is desirable
This role would suit applicants from HR, Recruitment, Compliance or Referencing backgrounds. Experience within Aviation would be beneficial.
