Jet2.com and Jet2Holidays are always looking for great people to join our award-winning team of colleagues. We are looking to hire a Tooling Manager - Engineering to join our busy Engineering Stores function at Leeds Bradford Airport Stores team.

The Tooling Manager – Engineering will be responsible for the planning and management of the Tools Stores Team and the management of all Jet2.com engineering Tooling control to support the engineering function across the entire Jet2.com engineering organisation, including in-house tool control, calibration control, maintenance, MRO management distribution, development and testing activities.

What Do We Need You to Do?
  • Analyse and support the financial budgets to ensure maximum value and return on expenditure and avoid unnecessary costs
  • Manage the team of tooling personnel across various locations
  • Support the overseeing of routine inspections of aircraft tooling
  • Ensure that all calibration / shelf-life items are maintained & optimised
  • Analyse and monitor the frequency of usage and trends, to ensure that best commercial deals are in place and that adequate tooling is available based on demand / programmes
  • Analyse data to anticipate future inventory needs and identify inventory for disposal.
  • Manage and develop MRO support as required
  • Liaise with Engineering Management and inform of relevant developments with the tool stores function
  • Provide regular management reports on inventory performance
  • Ensure the team despatch components with correct documentation, in a timely manner, using correct mode of transportation
  • Oversee the maintaining of records of all transactions, both manual and computerised
  • Act as a focal point for feedback from engineers and local storekeepers to improve the Tool Stores service through changing practices and methods
  • Promote published Engineering procedures to all Tools Stores colleagues, ensuring all work is carried out in line with them, and CAA/EASA regulations.

What do we need you to be?
  • Experienced in managing a team and managing processes
  • Experienced in the Aviation sector with a technical understanding of tooling
  • Financial and numeracy background, used to working with budgets
  • Adept at developing and maintaining strong working relationships at all business levels
  • Diligent, able to prioritise with meticulous attention to detail
  • Able to prioritise and manage proficiently, ensuring yours and the team’s output is optimised and time efficient
