We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Jet2holidays Overseas Operations team as a Regional Manager for Portugal, Madeira and Italy. The successful candidate must be based in one of our destinations in Italy or Portugal. Reporting to the General Manager – Overseas Operations, our Regional Managers play an integral role within the Jet2holidays Overseas Senior Management Team and are responsible for the strategic planning, performance management and service delivery of Jet2holidays operation.
What will you do in the role?
As our Regional Manager, you will -
- Play a key role in forecasting, strategic planning, and adhering to your operational budget and resourcing strategy.
- Lead, motivate, and empower your teams inspiring a high-performance culture that balances exceptional service with operational and cost efficiencies
- Build and manage relationships with Destination Management Companies (DMC’s) ensuring alignment with our industry-leading service standards and full compliance with company policies, procedures, and values.
- Implement the strategy, planning and delivery of performance, forecasting and utilisation of people, product delivery and supplier quality to achieve company requirements to deliver our famous industry leading service.
- Support your teams, DMCs, and suppliers through change, promoting process efficiency & continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular service reviews at hotels and airports across your region, providing hands-on coaching and reinforcing best practices to ensure standards are consistently met and exceeded.
- Contribute to projects (systems, destinations, and products) from concept and planning through to final delivery and sustainability.
- Take ownership of MI to demonstrate and verify the performance of your operations.
- Identify trends, uncover opportunities, and drive focused, actionable strategies that enhance service delivery and operational efficiency. Support regional agility in responding to internal and external influences
To be successful in this role you will have proven senior managerial experience gained from working within a large workforce within the Travel Industry, preferably from Tour Operations (including airport, hotel, and in-resort service delivery.) You will also have -
- Extensive people management: ideally with experience of leading and managing remote teams, maintaining high levels of engagement, performance, and accountability through effective communication, coaching, and use of digital tools
- Strategic Planning & Execution skills: The ability to develop and implement regional strategies aligned with business goals, balancing commercial priorities with service excellence.
- Customer Experience Focus: A passion for delivering outstanding customer service, with a deep understanding of customer needs and expectations in holiday environments.
- Crisis & Change Management: Resilience and adaptability in managing operational challenges, disruptions, and change across multiple destinations.
- Data & MI Competence: Skilled in interpreting Management Information and operational data to drive insight-led decisions and targeted action plans.
- Budget & Resource Management: Experience in managing operational budgets and resource planning, ensuring efficiency and agility in dynamic environments.
- Stakeholder & Supplier Relations: The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with third-party agents, DMCs, and suppliers, ensuring alignment with service standards and business values.
This role will be based in one of the above mentioned overseas destinations with extensive travel across the region, as well as travel to the UK. As we employ on local contracts, you will already hold full right to work documents for the country you will be based in and will already be living in the location, or willing to relocate and source your own accommodation.
