You’ve completed, or are close to completing, your professional flight training. Now comes the moment you’ve been working towards: your first role with a commercial airline. For some, it’s thrilling. For others, it can feel daunting. Either way, the Future Second Officer Programme is designed to help you prepare for your first type-rating, life in the flight deck and will lay the foundation for a rewarding long‑term career.

As well as excellent technical and flying ability, we’re looking for pilots to commit to Jet2.com as a career airline and embrace the ethos and values of our Company. What You’ll Experience
You will be immersed in Jet2.com’s operation and ethos from day one:
Operational Insight: Learn about our airport terminal operations and spend time with our famous Red Team, Customer Helpers, engineers and dispatchers. You’ll gain hands-on experience across multiple operational areas
Flight Deck Familiarisation: Spend time in the crew room, observe briefings, meet our base management team and fly on the jump seat. Meet your future pilot and cabin crew colleagues
Inflight Discovery: Gain knowledge on the cabin crew role and what it takes to deliver our VIP customer service
Personal Coaching: Receive 1:1 support throughout to help you prepare for life in the flight deck
What you’ll gain:

To Apply, You’ll Need
Valid UK Part‑FCL Pilot’s Licence
Valid UK Class 1 Medical with a minimum of six months’ validity on joining
APS MCC course completed
Advanced UPRT certificate
Strong ATPL results and training record
Multi‑Engine Instrument Rating (ME‑IR)
Unrestricted right to work in the UK
Evidence of flying currency through training and/or regular flying
