In addition, you will assume responsibility of all documentation for aircraft under your control and be available at short notice to perform Aircraft on Ground (AOG) recovery. After a period of training, it is expected that the B1 Licensed Engineer will work on a 2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off shift pattern.
The successful candidate will be European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) B2 Qualified with experience working on commercial aircraft. You will need to have a full UK Driving Licence and ideally hold current approvals for B737 Aircraft, although candidates with other Aircraft approvals will be considered. Additional approvals for other Jet2.com Aircraft types (A321 and B757) would be advantageous. In addition you will be highly organised and able to prioritise work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

Reporting to the Lead Business Analyst, as a Business Analyst you will be leading the charge on delivering projects that will improve the experience of our external and internal customers. The Jet2.com and Jet2holidays Business Analysts are passionate about delivering the best for our customers. We are proactive and work as a team to achieve results.
In this exciting opportunity, you will be expected to drive a project from inception to the point it goes live. You will facilitate stakeholder workshops, displaying skill in interviewing, effective questioning and have an ability to capture valuable output that you can build further analysis on.
The Business Analyst will own the requirements for the project, capturing these with any supporting documentation. These should be clearly and concisely captured on TFS. Epics/User stories should be detailed and captured in the team’s tool of choice, following INVEST principles and acceptance criteria. Additionally, you will work closely with the development team to give them a clear understanding of what needs to be delivered and using sessions such as the ‘3 amigos’, the user stories should be fleshed out and agreed to by the team. You may also be required to run estimation sessions to understand the effort required to deliver the stories.
As a part of the team effort, any of the above outputs should be shared with the Product Owner and you will support them with effective prioritisation of the backlog, providing recommendations based on your understanding. You will always support sprint planning by having all analysis ready and well defined. At Jet2.com and Jet2holidays our BAs don't just stop at the capture of requirements, as they collaborate within our development teams to take ideas from concept to a solution, understanding any areas of risk, dependencies, compliance impacts or data requirements. . The successful candidate will have a minimum experience of 2 years working as a Business Analyst with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies and in-house software development. You will be personable, proactive and confident in your approach and have strong stakeholder management skills, being a confident communicator. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing competing workloads and capable of effectively prioritising to meet deadlines. In addition, you will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build and maintain fantastic working relationships with 3rd party suppliers and colleagues at all levels.

Reporting to the GM - Engineering Training & Development, the Engineering Technical Instructor (Avionic) is primarily responsible for delivering EASA Part 147 Type Rating Engineering and EWIS Hand Skills Training to Jet2.com colleagues across the Companies fleet of aircraft. This position ensures quality and consistency across the scope of training provided and plays a vital role in the continuous improvement of working practices within Jet2.com Engineering Teams.
The Engineering Technical Instructor (Avionic) will identify training needs within the Company, developing and reviewing technical courses accordingly. You will also deliver the training, responding to a variety of learning styles and needs. In addition, you will produce management reports on technical and training related issues, driving improvement and customising training as a result.
The successful candidate will have experience of developing and delivering type rating training in an Engineering Aviation Environment. You will be familiar with delivering training in EASA Part 147/Part 145/Part M Organisations, ideally with specific experience in Boeing Aircraft with previous EASA approval to instruct either B2 Type Rating and General Familiarisation courses, although support and training will be offered to the right candidate to achieve this approval. The B2 Avionic Instructor (Engineering) will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate complex technical information to a wide audience. Along with this, strong IT skills and a good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is also a key requirement.
