Our Commercial Office, based in Leeds City Centre is home to our IT Business Systems Team which is made up of over 140 colleagues and provides the internal IT application development to Jet2.com and Jet2holidays. Due to the growth of our IT team we now have a Sheffield IT Hub established in December 2017 to help support our ever growing IT function.
The teams work using an Agile methodology (SCRUM) to deliver two eCommerce platforms and a Business Intelligence platform. Each team is a mixture of Product Owners, Developers, Testers, Database Administrators and Support Analysts who work alongside business users in 2 week sprints.

Working closely with many areas of the business, we develop services, applications and websites that are mainly used internally. These range from data feeds through to the platform our 800 Customer Helpers use in resort for case management. By using a mixture of responsive and adaptive design patterns, our sites can meet the needs of our users on desktop, tablet and mobile devices. We use the Microsoft stack; development is based on the latest versions of the .NET Framework using WebAPI and Angular front ends, combined with SQL Server behind.
Provide development of the company's data warehouse, integrating internal and external data to support business processes, reporting and analysis. Data from the ecommerce systems are transferred near real time to enable key business decisions to be taken based on sales data that is typically presented in the form of dashboards.
Our customers expect a fast and stable service and the IT Operations Team support this by ensuring smooth running of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays IT Systems. The team closely monitor the important systems 24/7 from The Bridge (IT Operations Centre) providing a fast response to any issue. The team also assist with routine maintenance, act as first point of contact triaging issues and escalate/engage with other teams as necessary.
Central management of ongoing projects through a team of Solutions Analysts and Project Managers, adapting project methodologies to suit the requirements of the project, and to successfully meet the needs of the business. A strong focus on project delivery is coupled with understanding lessons learned and continuous improvement to improve efficiency and minimise risk on Time, Cost & Quality in future projects.
IT Service Management provides guidance to the business and IT to assist in designing, delivering and operating the services and processes which support business functionality. We advise on new business initiatives along with supporting key IT supplier relationships.
The eCommerce Support team are responsible for the day to day support of the Jet2.com & Jet2holidays eCommerce and BI platforms & the users of the associated internal systems (BackOffice, Holiday Control, Call centre and Flight Control, Internal applications (e.g. voicing, product brief, PIMS) & Reporting). We also provide 24x7 support for the operational systems used both at LFFH and at the Mint by fleet planning (Lufthansa systems Ops++ & Sched and Sabre Crew systems) and in hours support for Finance Systems (EBIS and Open accounts)
Provide Development and Test of our reservations systems for Jet2.com & Jet2holidays which are public facing - this includes a desktop public facing web site and application; a mobile web site/application as well as API's for business to business (B2B) transactions and for mobile applications, and includes APIs which are used by Trip Advisor & Travel Supermarket to market our packaged holidays. There are also dedicated web sites/applications to support sales via third party travel agents and a large internal call centre.
Provide Development and Test of our reservations systems for Jet2.com which is public facing - this includes a desktop public facing web site/application; a mobile web site/application as well as API's for business to business (B2B) transactions (e.g. Skyscanner) and for our mobile applications, and an API which is used by the Jet2holidays ecommerce platform to book flights for packaged holidays.
To provide confidence and assurance that the Jet2 Ecommerce and Business Intelligence platforms have been delivered to the quality level and risk tolerance set by the business. This will include functional and non-functional testing, reporting on quality and providing integration testing of various components across the IT estate.
We help with the management and deployment of release (projects, applications, features etc) on non-production and production environments by collaborating between different IT Teams to ensure a smooth process. We operate effectively across different e-commerce applications, projects, platforms, tools and operational systems.
