It has been an incredibly exciting time for Jet2.com & Jet2holidays. In July and September 2016, the business announced Birmingham and London Stansted airports as its 8th and 9th UK operating bases. In September 2016, the business took delivery of the first of 34 brand new Boeing 737-800 NG Aircraft, and since that time, 21 more have been delivered. Delivering excellent Customer Service in the skies isn't easy. You'll be thinking on your feet and responding to customers' needs for the duration of every flight. There's always something to do, from very important safety checks to serving refreshments to meeting in-flight sales targets. Then doing it all again on the return journey!
We welcome Cabin Crew applications from people of all ages and backgrounds. We receive a huge number of applications, but you don't need to have worked in the travel industry before - it's all about your personality and your commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience, every time. You will need to stand at least 5'2" in height and hold an EU passport.
Our UK bases are Leeds Bradford, Manchester, Glasgow, Newcastle, Edinburgh, East Midlands, Birmingham, London Stansted and Belfast. If you join the Teams in our dual base (Edinburgh and Glasgow) you'll need to be available to work from either base. We also have our base in Alicante.
Our comprehensive training will ensure that you're able to react quickly and efficiently to any situation, making customer safety your absolute priority at all times. It's an intensive, four week course and you'll learn everything you need to know about all on board duties.
You'll need to arrange your own accommodation during the course and you won't be paid until you've successfully graduated. The cost of the course is currently £700 and places are limited, so we really encourage you to book and pay as soon as possible if you receive an offer to join our training programme. In return, you'll enjoy industry-leading training and on successful completion, will be offered a summer contract which will be just the start of your new, high flying career!
In 2014 we opened our £9.5 million state-of-the-art Training Centre, based in Bradford. With three full flight Simulators - the B737-800, B737-300 and the B757-200, we've created a purpose-built centre for excellence.
The simulators provide unrivalled quality training for our pilots, while our Cabin Safety and Emergency Procedure centre offers the perfect learning environment for Cabin Crew too. The Training centre now carries full ATO status for Training on all of our aircraft types. Work is currently underway installing our fourth simulator, an additional B737-800, to continue to support our growing business.
Training for Cabin Crew
The Training Centre houses Cabin Crew trainer units, as well as extensively equipped classrooms and briefing rooms. All of these facilities allow us to deliver bespoke training programmes to enhance your knowledge and skills.
After receiving your online application and successfully passing your English, Math and Customer Service tests, we'll invite you to undertake a telephone interview. If that goes well, we'll ask you to come along to an assessment day. We aim to make the day as fun and relaxed as possible as it's important to make sure we get the best out of you.
The day will start with quick height and tattoo check, a short presentation about our business, which is followed by you taking part in a couple of group exercises. If we spot that special spark in you, you'll be invited to stay on for a one-to-one interview. Our Cabin Crew colleagues will also be there to chat with you and answer any questions you have throughout the day.
We'll let you know as soon as we can after the assessment day whether we'd like to welcome you on board.
If you're successful, which of course we hope you will be, you must be able to obtain an Airside Security Pass to work at the airport. In order to do this, you'll need to provide 5 full years' employment history and have an up to date Criminal Record Check completed for the UK and any other country you have lived in for over 6 months (in the last 5 years). Please make sure you have all the information ready.
