Accounts Payable Query Trainer, based at Holiday House in Leeds City Centre.

As part of a high-performing AP Query Team, our Accounts Payable Query Trainer is a hands-on role, reporting to the AP Query Manager, and working closely with the Team Leaders. The overall focus is on monitoring and maintaining end-to-end AP Query Processes, ensuring robust controls are known within the team and in place at all times, via the relevant training. There is a requirement to participate in the usual team function to resolve queries and reconcile accounts.

What will you do in the role?

In conjunction with the AP Query Manager, our AP Payable Query Trainer will be the gatekeeper for AP Query Processes and Procedures, ensuring they are clear, accurate and up to date at all times. When not reviewing Processes and Training, you will oversee a high-volume Accounts Payable ledger, and be responsible for reconciling accounts, managing queries, and dealing with payment enquiries. You will also: -
  • Ensure all AP Query Processes and Procedures are regularly quality tested and fit for purpose
  • Provide front-line support to ensure all team members are adequately trained in all relevant aspects of the Accounts Payable Query function
  • Support Team Leaders with the introduction of all new processes and procedures that may require training materials and/or training sessions
  • Support the AP Query Manager and Team Leaders with the delivery of training using comprehensive subject knowledge
  • Assist in the weekly payment runs
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Maintain stakeholder relationships internally and externally in line with the company GDF ethos (Great Deal Friendlier)

What are the key skills/experience you’ll already have?

Our Accounts Payable Query Trainer will have previous experience in a similar role within an Accounts Payable team. Key skills we’re also looking for:
  • The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a similar Accounts Payable role, have attention to detail, and experience working to strict timescales
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • The ability to encourage & motivate a team
  • Experience working to tight timescales in a busy working environment

This is a hybrid role working 3 days a week in the office, with the ability and scope to work flexibly from home for the remaining time.
