Mechanic, based at East Midlands Airport.

Reporting to the Shift Leader, our Mechanic will Take Responsibility for carrying out line maintenance on all aircraft, ensuring tasks are carried out efficiently and on time. This position plays an important role in ensuring our aircraft are maintained to a very high standard and that delays are kept to a minimum, helping to Create Memories for our valued customers.

What will you do in the role?

Our Mechanic will perform defect rectification and routine servicing as directed by the Shift Leader, carrying out aircraft maintenance tasks according to CAA requirements and regulations. You will also:
  • Be expected to be available at short notice for Aircraft on Ground (AOG) recovery
  • Work a shift pattern after a period of training of either 2 days, 2 nights - 4 days off or; 4 nights, 4 days off.
What are the key skills / experience you’ll already have?

As our Mechanic, you will ideally hold a UK issued Part 66 A Licence with experience working on commercial aircraft. You will also:
  • Be highly organised and able to prioritise work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Hold a full UK Driving Licence
  • Ideally hold current approvals for B737 Aircraft, although candidates with other Aircraft approvals will be considered
  • Preferably have additional approvals for other Aircraft types (A321 and B757)
  • Be willing to work shift patterns.
