This is an exciting time for Jet2.com and Jet2holidays!

With our growing Fleet of aircraft (we are investing in 34 brand new Boeing 737-800NG aircraft over a 2 year period) and ever expanding destinations to the Mediterranean, the Canary Islands and to European Leisure Cities, we are constantly looking for enthusiastic, dedicated and passionate Pilots to join our Team.

Our Entry Requirements

What you need in order to apply

Direct Entry Captains

  • Minimum 3,000 hours Total flying time (factorised)
  • In excess of 1,000 hours Command flying time on a B737 or B757 Aircraft, or a similar size and configuration Commercial Jet Aircraft
  • Valid UK issued EASA Pilots Licence (or the ability to convert to EASA)
  • Valid UK issued EASA Class 1 Medical (or the ability to convert to EASA)
  • The unrestricted right to work in the EU
  • English Language proficiency – minimum level 4

First Officers

  • Minimum 500 hours Total flying time including
  • Experience on a medium to heavy Commercial Multi Crew, Multi Engine Jet or Turboprop aircraft, or Military flying experience
  • If Type Rated on the B737 or B757 – in excess of 500 hours flying time on type
  • Valid UK issued EASA Pilots Licence (or the ability to convert to EASA)
  • Valid UK issued EASA Class 1 Medical (or the ability to convert to EASA)
  • The unrestricted right to work in the EU
  • English Language proficiency – minimum level 4

Pilot Apprentices

  • Valid UK issued EASA Pilots Licence (or the ability to convert to EASA)
  • Valid UK issued EASA Class 1 Medical (or the ability to convert to EASA)
  • Completed a Jet Orientation Course (JOC) and Multi-Crew Co-operation course (MCC)
  • Strong ATPL results and Training record
  • Hold a valid Multi-Engine Instrument rating
  • The unrestricted right to work in the EU
  • English Language proficiency – minimum level 4
Our Bases

Training

Housing 4 full flight Simulators, high-tech Computer Based training rooms and fully equipped classrooms and briefing rooms, our purpose built centre of excellence provides high quality training to all our Pilots.

Not only that, but it has created unrivalled opportunities for our Pilots to progress their careers through the creation of opportunities at all levels in the training world – from ATIs to TREs and everything in between! With full ATO status the expanding centre is the hub of our Pilot training, offering bespoke courses to new joiners and existing Pilots alike – and it’s only used by Jet2.com!

Apprentice Scheme

Our 12 month Pilot Apprentice scheme includes a winter and summer season across our bases.

You will gain experience across all of our business areas, learning new skills and building relationships with colleagues throughout the Operation. On completion, you will undertake a fully bonded Type Rating and join our fleet as a Second Officer with many exciting career development opportunities to follow.

The minimum entry requirements for the Pilot Apprenticeship are a Frozen ATPL Pilots Licence (with current Multi Engine Instrument Rating), a current Class 1 Medical Certificate and completion of Multi Crew Co-operation (MCC) and Jet Orientation (JOC) courses.
