In The Spotlight: Jordan Cockcroft
Who are you and what is your role at Jet2.com and Jet2holidays ?
Hi, I’m Jordan and I work in the Learning and Development department as the L&D Co-ordinator.
I started working for Jet2 in June 2018 and I joined the company as a Quality Coach in the Contact Centre. Since then, I have worked with the Contact Centre Training Team and now the wider L&D department.
I provide admin and co-ordination of all internal & external training courses including Take Me There, Colleague & Management Development as well as our E-learning suite.
What do you love the most about working at Jet2 ?
Jet2 has been an incredible work environment for me – especially seeing everyone pull together over the last year and demonstrating our company values at the forefront of the actions we take. We have fostered a really great working environment and culture whilst working from home which has provided a level of comfort during the pandemic.
How have you been surviving the latest lockdown?
The biggest thing I did was to disconnect from social media. I found that I was constantly scrolling and refreshing every social media/ news app and realised it was having a massive effect on my wellbeing. So instead of scrolling the socials, I have instead been forcing myself to do at least 10K steps each day and clambering around some local Yorkshire trails at the weekend. I love to cook and subscribed to HelloFresh (other food delivery services are available) to give my mealtimes some more excitement and I would be nothing without my record collection.
Settle the debate – beach holiday or city break?
This is an easy one for me – city break every time. I was lucky enough to visit San Sebastian just before the lockdown and whilst it rained (every day), it was one of the best trips I’ve taken. Everything from the local wine, pintxo and beautiful harbour was a great experience.
